Eliminating Invisible Hazards: Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) Gas Removal
Hydrofluoric acid (HF) is essential in semiconductor, display, battery, and glass processing,
but HF gas is an extremely dangerous invisible hazard even at low exposure levels.
Inhalation or contact can cause severe respiratory damage, delayed lung injury,
tissue necrosis, and systemic toxicity, making source-level capture vital.
GT SCIEN provides the Toxic Gas Purifier (Acid), featuring acid-resistant
PVC construction and a specialized TOGA® filter optimized for HF gas.
As demonstrated in a case study with Company T during battery cell electrolyte injection,
operating GT SCIEN’s purifier at the emission point reduced HF gas concentrations from up to 15 ppm down to 0.2 ppm,
maintaining a safe, comfortable working environment without heavy respiratory gear.
