Managing Phenol Odors and Vapors During Chemical Synthesis

Sodium phenoxide synthesis in pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing often releases strong, irritating phenol vapors during mixing and reaction processes.

Exposure to phenol vapor can cause respiratory irritation, central nervous system effects like dizziness, and severe eye damage.

To eliminate these hazardous odors without complex facility modifications, GT SCIEN recommends its Ductless Fume Hood and Toxic Gas Purifiers equipped with customizable TOGA® filters.

As demonstrated in a case study with K Chemical, installing GT SCIEN’s purification system near reagent bottles and stirring points effectively captures phenol vapors directly at the emission source,

ensuring a safer and more comfortable laboratory environment.
